Weddings, civil partnerships and renewal of vows ceremonies are a time for celebration and a new chapter in people’s lives. Storytelling is important and as a celebrant I would love to skilfully capture your personal love story. I would use my writing and celebrant skills to enrich your love story with music, poems, readings and extra elements so that you have the perfect day. You might want a traditional wedding or something more informal or an alternative wedding. It would be my pleasure to listen and help you put your ideas into action.
WEDDINGS AND CIVIL PARTNERSHIPS

At a wedding or a civil partnership ceremony your story might include how you first met and became a couple. It might describe the things that make your partner the perfect fit for you. You might include the music or a poem that expresses your profound love for each other. As your celebrant, I would ensure that you have a wedding or civil partnership ceremony that genuinely captures your emotions and feelings for each other.
Please note a celebrant-led wedding ceremony is not the legal part of your marriage. You would still need to cover the legal requirements with a registrar. This can be done as a formality without vows and ring exchange.
RENEWAL OF VOWS
“A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person”
At a renewal of vows ceremony, you might include those special moments that led you to celebrate your journey as a committed couple. You might include the things that annoy you about your partner, but you still love them anyway! You might include your special love song that has stood the test of time. You might talk about some of the different chapters of your relationship and how you have worked together to overcome life’s challenges. As your celebrant, I would be excited to hear, capture and celebrate your unique story and to look forward to the next part of your journey as a couple.
CAN I ADD OTHER ELEMENTS TO MAKE THE DAY EXTRA SPECIAL?
Yes, you can. As a celebrant I am able to offer you some extra elements to personalise your ceremony. This could be a unity candle, handfasting, jump the broom, guests warming the rings before the ceremony or a wishing jar. Every couple gets to sign a parchment keepsake to mark their special day.
It would be my privilege to work with you to create the perfect wedding, civil partnership and renewal of vow ceremony at a venue of your choosing, including outdoor venues. I can conduct ceremonies in Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset.
